The Lynden Menorah Lighting with Mayor Jack Louws will now be held at the Lynden Library, followed by a festive Chanukah Celebration with donuts, latkes, entertainment, and all your favorite Chanukah treats!

Blaine Menorah Lighting postponed due to winter weather

The Blaine Menorah Lighting and Hanukkah Celebration planned with Mayor Bonnie Onyan for Today, Sunday, Dec. 21, has been postponed due to the snow storm.

The Event will now take place on Sunday December 28, 2008, at 1PM.

Location will still be at The H Street & Peace Portal Drive Plaza (728 Peace Portal Dr., Blaine, WA 98230 [weather permitting])

6 Menorah Lighting Events throughout Whatcom County

 
We would like to welcome all to celebrate the beginning of Chanukah on Sunday, December 21, 2008, at 5:30pm in Blaine, WA.  Rabbi Levi Backman will preside over the ceremony and Mayor Bonnie Onyon will attend, speak and will be honored to light the first light, bringing in the Hanukah season.
The Menorah will be on display in Blaine until the following morning on Monday December 22.
This is the first Jewish Event in Blaine's History

H Street & Peace Portal Drive

We would like to welcome all to attend the Chanukah celebration at the Fairhaven Village Green in Fairhaven, Bellingham on December 22nd at 5:30pm.  County Executive Peter Kremen will attend the ceremony, with Rabbi Levi Backman, Director of Chabad Jewish Center of Whatcom County. Peter Kremen will deliver a holiday season greeting and will be honored to light the Menorah.
Immediately following the Lighting there will be a Hanukkah Party in the Fairhaven Library.
The Menorah will be on display on and off throughout the remainder of the Holiday until Chanukah ends on December 29th.
This is an Annual Event

On Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at 5:30pm in Lynden, WA.  Rabbi Backman will be joined with Mayor Jack Louws who will speak and will be honored to light the Menorah.
The Menorah will be on display in Lynden until the following morning on Wednesday December 24.
All are welcome to join.
This is perhaps the first Jewish Event in Lynden's History

On Friday, December 26, 2008, at 3:30pm in Ferndale, WA.  Mayor Gary Jenson will attend the ceremony, and will be the one who will deliver the holiday message this day, and will be honored to light the Menorah.
 The Menorah will be on display in Ferndale from Friday Morning until after the event.
All are encouraged to attend.

On Saturday Night, December 27, 2008, at 6:30pm in Sumas, WA.  Mayor Bob Bromley will partake in the ceremony, and is the one who will deliver the holiday message this night and will be honored to light the Menorah.

The Menorah will be on display in Sumas until the following morning on Sunday December 28.

On Sunday, December 28, 2008, at 5:30pm in Everson, WA.  Mayor Jaleen Pratt will partake in the ceremony, and will deliver the holiday message this evening and will be honored to light the Menorah.
The Menorah will be on display in Everson until the following morning on Monday December 29.
